Meet the Speakers
Lenard-Cook is the PEN-shortlisted author of the novels Dissonance and Coyote Morning. She wrote the writing guides The Mind of Your Story, Find Your Story, Write Your Memoir, as well as numerous trade nonfiction and ghosted books.
Carlson’s short stories have appeared in Esquire, Harpers, The New Yorker, The Atlantic Monthly, and other journals. His work is also part of The Best American Short Stories, The O’Henry Prize Series, and many other anthologies.
Bret A. Johnston
Johnston is the author of a novel Remember Me Like This, the award-winning Corpus Christi: Stories, and the editor of Naming the World: And Other Exercises for the Creative Writer. His work appears in The Atlantic Monthly, Esquire, and The Paris Review.
