Description:
Participants will advance their understanding of the benefits and application of process improvement tools as they learn to understand and apply statistical process control (SPC). The course focuses on statistical techniques used in industrial process control charting, acceptance sampling, reliability practices and preventative maintenance. The course utilizes Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet and Minitab software programs. This course is the second in a series of three courses included in the Six Sigma Principles and Tools certificate program. Prerequisite: MFET 2410

  • Review problem-solving techniques
  • Design and use data collection sheets
  • Apply statistical graphing tools and control charts
  • Understand process capability analysis
  • Understand measurement systems analysis
  • Utilize MS Excel and Minitab software for statistical analysis
