Description:
This course will provide an overview of security guard responsibilities, while improving the professionalism and skills of security guards. This course is instructed by certified Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) officers and utilizes engaging scenarios for realistic and meaningful training.
Objectives:
Improve communication (verbal & written)
  • Improve knowledge of Ethics & Sexual Harassment
  • Utilize conflict de-escalation / resolution skills
  • Conduct first aid
  • Learn legal requirements and expectations
  • Utilize situational awareness
  • Conduct surveillance and loss prevention
  • Learn personal health and physical fitness skills
  • Instill professional appearance expectations
  • Participate in preparedness scenarios
