Immerse yourself in the Spanish Language in classrooms, in the homes of local families, and on the streets of San Jose, Costa Rica on the WSU Study Abroad Program to Costa Rica. This program, one of Weber State’s longest-running and most popular study abroad programs, will introduce you to countless once-in-a-lifetime experiences such as zip-lining through rainforests, playing with monkeys, and walking on white, sandy beaches.

For participating in this Spanish language study abroad program, you will receive up to 7 credit hours from the following (depending on proficiency):
- Spanish 1020 – First Year Spanish 2
- Spanish HU 1851 – Study Abroad
- Spanish 2010 – Second Year Spanish 1
- Spanish HU 2851 – Study Abroad
- Spanish 2020 – Second Year Spanish 2
June 20, 2013 – Pre-departure Orientation
June 23, 2013 – Depart for Costa Rica
July 21, 2013 – Return Home
The tentative cost of the program will include:
- Most Meals
- Local Transportation
The cost does not include your airfare passport, a visa (if required), incidentals, any unscheduled travel, and excess baggage cost.
All participants must be at least 18 old. This program is open to all WSU students and members of the community; however preference will be given to WSU students. This program does include some moderate physical demands, including walking, hiking on un-paved areas, and boating between islands. People in reasonably good health should have little concern for these demands. All participants must have a valid passport and must provide proof of that passport to the Study Abroad Office at least 90 days prior to the departure date.

The Fine Print
If the trip is cancelled, all participants will be refunded in full. Any refunds for withdrawal from the program will be determined by the Study Abroad Director according to the recoverability of incurred costs and fees, and according to Continuing Education Policy. Once the group leaves, all costs are non-refundable in their entirety. Dates and prices may change. It is the responsibility of each participant to be aware of any changes by staying in contact with Study Abroad and the program director.
