Join WSU professor Ken Johnson on a fascinating visit to Sweden and Finland, where you’ll explore healthcare systems, policies, social systems, and take in the beauty of Scandinavia. You’ll study the social welfare systems of these cities in addition to experiencing the beauty and culture of these fascinating nations including visits to viking burial grounds, palaces, castles, and more.

For participating in this Study Abroad program, you will receive 6 credit hours from the following:
- MHA 6360 – Comparative Int’l Health Systems
- MHA 6830 – Directed Study
- HAS 4800 – Individual Study

May 25: Fly from SLC to Stockholm, Sweden
May 27-30: Stockholm
May 31: Uppsala Viking Burial Grounds
June 1-6: Helsinki
June 7: Jyvaskyla Sauna Experience
June 8: Travel home
The tentative cost of the program will include:
- Most Meals
- All domestic Transportations
The cost does not include international airfare, your passport, a Visa, if required, incidentals, any unscheduled travel, and excess baggage cost.
This program is open to all WSU students, faculty, and staff in MHA, MBA, Health Administrative Services, or related programs. Students must be at least 18 years old for this program. People in reasonably good health should have little concern for any physical demands. All participants must have a valid passport.

The Fine Print
If the trip is cancelled, all participants will be refunded in full. Any refunds for withdrawal from the program will be determined by the Study Abroad Director according to the recoverability of incurred costs and fees, and according to Continuing Education Policy. Once the group leaves, all costs are non-refundable in their entirety. Dates and prices may change. It is the responsibility of each participant to be aware of any changes by staying in contact with Study Abroad and the program director.
