A Bit About Bitcoin and Other Cryptocurrency

One night only! You’ve heard about Bitcoin, and it piqued your curiosity. This class is for you. You’ll be able to answer deceptively tricky questions like, “What is money?” (We think we know, until we don’t!) Then we’ll go from there and delve into even trickier questions: What is Bitcoin, then? Is it money? Is it “real”? How does Bitcoin work? What’s a blockchain? What’s with the “crypto” in cryptocurrency? How do people use Bitcoin?

This class explores Altcoin, Bitcoin, and blockchain technology and provides a basic overview of cryptocurrency and how it works. Information provided in this course is for general educational and informational purposes only. Information should not be construed as investment or financial advice. Cryptocurrency is a new and changing technology that is not without risk. WSU makes no warranties, representations, or endorsements regarding the investment in cryptocurrency.
