Cake Decorating II--Flowers and Cake Design

For students who have some experience with cake decorating or have completed Cake Decorating I. Learn how to use royal icing and more advanced cake decorating techniques and tools. You must provide your own supplies (see below).


Students don't have to buy everything to participate. It will just allow you to go along with the instructor as she demonstrates. The Wilton Student Decorating Kits are recommended because it can be cheaper than buying everything individually. They are available in craft and retail stores such as Wal-Mart and Joanns. They are also available online on multiple sites.

Supplies to bring from home:

  • Table cover
  • Disposable cloth or paper towels
  • Pencil or pen and paper
  • Scissors
  • Tape
  • Toothpicks
  • Several plastic cups or bowls for mixing icing
  • Small bottle of water (squeeze bottle recommended)
  • Box for flower transportation

  • Tapered spatula
  • 12 12-inch disposable decorating bags
  • Parchment triangles
  • Decorating tips: 1, 2, 3, 12, 14, 21, 352, 366, 104, 59s and 47
  • Flower template sticker sheets
  • 3 twist quick decorating couplers
  • 2 lily nail sets
  • 6 foil squares
  • 6 lily stamen sets
  • Pansy cutter
  • Decorator brush
  • Wave flower former set
  • Practice board and practice sheets

Wilton products not included in the Student Kit:

  • At least 3 gel icing colors
  • White Ready-to-use decorator icing
