Computer Literacy Courses


Weber State University offers non-credit, online, self-paced courses for you to expand your computer literacy skills. You will have unlimited access to video-based instruction, work-based projects and assessments. You can start and finish each course at your own pace within a six-month window.

  • Using a Computer
    $59
    Focus on the basics: Computer components, emails and operating system.  Learn about Windows, the internet, file and folder management, information security, ethics and international computer issues.
  • Using Microsoft Word 1*
    $79
    You will learn basic skills in Microsoft Word including creating, editing and retrieving documents; copying, pasting and formatting text; inserting and placing graphics; spell checking, saving and printing documents; and creating and editing tables and basic table formulas. *Not endorsed, sponsored by, nor affiliated with Microsoft.
  • Using Microsoft Excel 1*

    You will learn the basic tools you need to use and understand Microsoft Excel. You will learn to create, enter and format data in a spreadsheet. You will be able to change and format information, understand AutoSum, enter and copy functions and formulas and know basic formulas for percentage and markup.   • R Programming
    $99
    Use R and RStudio. Summarize data using descriptive statistics. Create frequency tables and plot data. Use linear regression to capture the correlation between two variables.
