Description:
The Basic Construction Management Professional (
BCMP) credential program is based on the National Association of Construction Professionals (
NACP) Construction Management Professional Standard. Participants complete a self-paced online course that covers common construction project management standards and terminology, to include: leadership, management, contracting, planning, scheduling, estimating, communication, documentation, quality management, and other important topics. Candidates study these contents and the Professional Standard until they feel that they are ready to take a 200 question, multiple-choice, certification exam. Those who successfully pass the exam will be awarded the
BCMP credential by the
NACP. This is an entry level certification; no experience is required to apply. It is also a prerequisite for the Advanced Construction Management Professional certification.
