Design of Experiments is a step-by-step description of procedures used to organize, conduct and evaluate industrial experiments. DOE emphasizes the usefulness of results and the decision criteria for choosing the proper design. Prerequisite: MFET 2410
Objectives:
  • Understand the need for modern methods of experimentation
  • Know the steps required for successful experimentation
  • Be familiar with design techniques including objectives, similarities/differences, and advantages/disadvantages of each
  • Set up designs and conduct simple analysis
  • Set up and analyze robust design
