Description:
Overseeing any project requires specific skills and tools to stay on time and on budget. Constant attention to progress and resource allocation is required. The overall objective of this course is for each participant to understand the concepts of project management as they apply to the development of new or modified systems.
Objectives:
  • Define and discuss the concepts and philosophy to deal with one-time efforts (projects) that end when specified time, cost, and performance objectives are reached
  • Analyze and explain the specialized behavioral, organizational, and management methods to deal with project management problems
  • Use specialized project management techniques, including project planning, scheduling, control, and cost estimating
  • Manage projects in complex organizations
