Description:
Problems will arise. Supervisors are required to deal with problems in all areas of operations. Learn effective techniques to determine the root cause rather than dealing with symptoms over and over. Establish corrective action and preventative measures to reduce the time and resources spent on non-value-added activities.
Objectives:
  • Review the underlying concepts in problem solving
  • Understand management of fire-fighting vs. prevention
  • Master techniques used in problem solving, i.e. Pareto charts, cause and effect diagrams, force field analysis
  • Practice problem solving techniques in small group exercises
