Description:
This course is intended to provide the student with a basic working knowledge of compensation and benefits as an important part of the broader Human Resources field. The topics to be covered include: job analysis, job evaluation, compensation surveys, performance appraisal and recognition, and different approaches to employee compensation; basic understanding of regulatory benefit laws and required government reporting, plan designs, benefit administration terminology and effective management techniques; use of compensation, benefits, and work life effectiveness to attract, retain, and motivate employees.
