Olene Walker VOTE Election Certification

Description:
The Walker Institute has partnered with the Division of Online and Continuing Education to host their Olene Walker VOTE Certification training to the members of the Utah County Clerks Association to provide certification on voting rights and other specific curriculum required to maintain certifications that members currently hold or are working towards. This certification will consist of three two-day workshops per year.

Training 1: March 30 - 31.

Date: March 30. Workflow Management: An introduction to the Theory of Constraints and a hands-on approach to making your job easier by finding efficiencies in your daily tasks and ballot processing. Learn how to map processes, identify bottlenecks, and improve the work you do every day in your office.

Date: March 31. The History of Elections: Learn the "why" behind your important role in the electoral system. In this course, we will provide the context of the American voting experience, examining the larger theory of why we have elections. Explore the specifics of national voting law, the expansion of suffrage over the last couple of centuries, and the frontiers of voting rights and voting law, which you will have to manage for now.
