Description:
Six Sigma methods use statistical tools to bring about continual improvement of quality in manufactured goods and services to document that positive change has occurred. These tools include Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Measurement Systems, Control Charts, Multi-Varie and Multivariate charts, Process Capability Analysis (PCA), and Design of Experiments (DOE). Students will learn and apply these methods and tools through class participation and completion of required projects. The course will utilize Minitab and Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet software programs. This is the third of three courses in the Six Sigma Principles and Tools certificate series. Prerequisites: MFET 2410, MFET 3810
