In this class, we will be introducing some very basic concepts about computer programming. The concepts covered in this lecture include introduction to programming languages, algorithms, source code and executables, compiling and debugging, and programming environment.  By end of the class, students will be able to understand the basic concepts of computer programming; understand the fundamentals of the syntax and semantics of a programming language; be able to effectively communicate with professional programmers; and build the foundation and prepare themselves for future exploration of programming.

How Programming Works

In this class, we will be introducing how programming works. The concepts covered in this lecture include introduction to programming; the process and steps for software development; software development lifecycle models; and project managements. By end of the class, students will be able to understand the basic concepts of programming; understand the lifecycle of software development; understand software project management; and be able to effectively communicate with professional programmers.


SQL Beginner

SQL Beginner

Delve into the basics of the SQL programming language, and begin to understand how it communicates with databases. Work with databases and tables. Learn to create various commands.

SQL Intermediate

SQL Intermediate

After building a foundation in SQL, learn to create subqueries, advanced subqueries, advanced joins and union queries. Learn to use keywords such as IN, EXISTS, ANY and ALL to link queries.
