Weber State University WSU Division of Online &Continuing Education

Online Classes

Online courses at Weber State come with options. Pick the style of online learning that best fits you — semester-based or independent study — then see what courses are offered in each style.

Semester-based courses are for those students who want structure. If regular deadlines help keep you on track, but you still want the flexibilty of logging on when it works for you, these courses are for you. Courses follow the WSU summer, fall and spring schedules.

Independent Study Catalog

With Independent Study, you don't have to wait until the next semester to start your classes — start anytime! You can breeze through classes in just a few weeks or take up to six months to finish. They are perfect for students who are determined and self-motivated, don’t want to wait for semester start dates, and need more flexibility with assignment deadlines. You may register by phone or in person. Call (801) 626-6600 or (800) 848-7770, option 4. The Online & Continuing Education registration desk is located just inside the front doors of the Hurst Center for Lifelong Learning. It is currently closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please call before coming to register in person to ensure the registration desk has reopened.
