As a cadet, you are responsible for purchasing required technology, equipment and uniforms.
Technology
Laptops are required for participation in the WSU Law Enforcement Academy.
Laptop rentals are available through the academy for $150. When you complete your program, you will recieve a $25 refund (restrictions apply). Call 801-395-3412 for more information.

Uniform
Standards vary for each certification program:
CLASSROOM
- Polo with academy logo, to be worn over plain white t-shirt
- Black BDU pants
- Black boots (plain, with no insignias, and must be able to be shined)
- Official T-shirt with academy logo and name printed on back
- Black BDU pants
- Black boots (plain, with no insignias, and must be able to shine them)
- Official academy baseball cap
- Official T-shirt with academy logo and name printed on back
- Sweat shorts or sweatpants with offical academy logo
- Running shoes, with good arch/ankle support

Specific uniforms and equipment are required for each module: the Special Functions Officer/Basic Corrections Officer module and the Law Enforcement Officer module.
