Application Process
Take the following steps to apply:
Review our admissions requirements.
Entry requirements vary for the different law enforcement certifications.
Sign up.
Register for either the Daytime Combined Academy or Evening Part-Time Academy.
Complete the online POST application.
A representative of the WSU Law Enforcement Academy will email or mail you a URL for the application along with detailed instructions for navigating the application process.
Complete an interview.
Call 801-395-3412 to schedule an appointment with the WSU Law Enforcement Academy director.
Await background test results.
Once you have registered and completed the Utah POST application, your position in the academy will be pending until the results of your Utah POST background application arrive. Once you have been officially admitted, you must make your payment arrangements.
