Weber State's Law Enforcement Academy provides thorough preparation for those planning a lifelong career in criminal justice.
The training is a great value, averaging $7,000. The academy offers a payment plan, and financial aid may also be available to those
who qualify.

Daytime Combined Academy
Become eligible for the Auxiliary/Special Functions Officer,
the Basic Corrections Officer and the Law Enforcement Officer
certifications.
Registration will require a non-refundable
$50 application fee for the POST application.
The cost for the daytime combined academy is based on the ammunition you choose:

- 40 ca: $7,596
- 45 ca: $7,742
The price includes:
- Tuition
- Ammunition (to be issued during firearms training)

Evening Part-Time Academy
The evening part-time academy is split into two separate modules.
Registration will require a non-refundable

Module 1(SFO/BCO)

Optional Payment Plan
Pay for your tuition in four equal installments.*The first payment is due by 4 p.m. the Friday after classes begin. The remaining three payments are then due monthly.For information about the payment plan, contact WSU's bursar's office at 801-626-6190/8018. To make a payment with a credit or debit card, call 801-626-6039.*: if you would like to pay using an American Express card, please call 801-626-6600 . At this time, American Express cannot be processed using our electronic payment suite. -
Fingerprinting
• All cadets attending the academy are required to get their fingerprints done on an official fingerprint card prior to the first day of class.
• Contact your local police department or BCI for an appointment to get this done. (https://bci.utah.gov/fingerprint-and-photo-services-for-the-public/)
• Cadets will bring their completed fingerprint card with them on the first day of class.
• A $20 check, cashier’s check, or money order made out to the Bureau of Criminal Investigation will need to be brought on the first day of class. This check and fingerprint card will be turned in to academy staff on the first day of class.
• Cadets who have been hired and fingerprinted by a sponsoring agency will need to ensure the sponsoring agency has submitted the fingerprint card to BCI.

Refund Policy
