Evening Part-Time Academy:
Fit Training Into Your Schedule
Taken in the evening, this flexible pathway allows you to complete your training in two separate modules:
Upon successful completion of the first module, you will be eligible for the following certifications:
- The Auxiliary/Special Functions Officer (SFO) certification allows you to work as a bailiff, constable or in other support positions.
- The Basic Corrections Officer (BCO) certification allows you to work as a county jail or state prison officer.
To register for this module, you must have successfully completed the first.
Upon successful completion of the second module, you will be eligible for the Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) certification,
which allows you to work as a city police officer, highway patrol officer, deputy sheriff or other state law enforcement officer.
